Terms and Conditions

Welcome to AKAAS Transportation (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our transportation services, website, or contacting us for booking, you (“client,” “customer,” “passenger,” “parent/guardian”) agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Services Offered
AKAAS Transportation provides the following services:
- School Transportation for children to and from school or educational programs.
- Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) for individuals needing safe, scheduled transportation to medical appointments.
All services are provided by trained drivers in properly maintained and insured vehicles, operating primarily in the Brockton, MA region and surrounding areas.
2. Booking and Scheduling
- All transportation services must be booked in advance via phone, email, or through an authorized booking system.
- Pick-up and drop-off times will be confirmed in advance. Clients must be ready 5–10 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
- Changes or special requests must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance.
3. Payment and Fees
- Pricing is based on service type, distance, and frequency. Custom quotes are available upon request.
- All payments must be made in full before or on the day of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the trip cost.
- Invoices are issued upon request and may include applicable taxes and surcharges.
4. Safety Policy
- Safety is our highest priority. All passengers must follow driver instructions at all times.
- Seatbelts must be worn by all passengers. Children must be in legally approved child safety seats or booster seats, provided by the client unless arranged in advance.
- For school transportation, children must remain seated throughout the ride and must be dropped off only to authorized individuals.
- AKAAS reserves the right to refuse service to any individual displaying unsafe, violent, or disruptive behavior.
5. Parental and Guardian Responsibilities
- Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring children are ready at the pickup location and supervised until boarding the vehicle.
- For safety reasons, young children will not be left unattended at drop-off locations unless pre-authorized in writing.
- AKAAS must be informed in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect transportation.
6. Delays and Disruptions
- While we make every effort to maintain schedules, AKAAS is not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, construction, road closures, or other uncontrollable circumstances.
- In the event of unavoidable delays or emergencies, clients will be notified as soon as possible via the contact details provided at booking.
7. Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Guidelines
- Passengers using NEMT must be ambulatory (able to walk or transfer without emergency assistance) unless otherwise specified.
- Any equipment (walkers, oxygen, etc.) must be disclosed at the time of booking.
- Medical transport is not a substitute for emergency care. In the event of a medical emergency, please dial 911.
8. Liability and Insurance
- AKAAS Transportation is fully licensed and insured under Massachusetts transportation regulations.
- While every effort is made to ensure safety, we are not responsible for loss or damage of personal belongings during transportation.
- Clients and passengers agree to hold AKAAS harmless for any injuries or damages resulting from failure to follow safety protocols.
9. Privacy and Confidentiality
- We respect your privacy. Any personal or contact information collected is used solely for the purpose of coordinating transportation services.
- Your data will never be shared with third parties unless required by law or for operational necessities (e.g., dispatch, driver communication).
10. Service Refusal or Termination
AKAAS reserves the right to:
- Refuse service to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs, displaying inappropriate behavior, or who presents a safety concern.
- Terminate services with or without notice for violations of these Terms and Conditions.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and/or sent via email. Continued use of our services constitutes agreement with the latest version.
